Cars seem to be the most common transport around the world. Since the invention of cars horses and bullock carts have been replaced. Ever since the invention of four wheel horses there has been a tremendous advancement in the field of automobile. Now a days there are automobiles for every kind of purpose. There are even cars that are made to go on the water and cars that can also fly. Well the development is never ending and the research and analysis done is far beyond ones imagination. Major automobile giants put millions of dollars into testing, research and development to make the best car and to stay ahead in the market.

Now days there are hybrid cars that are manufactured to curb on the oil crisis. These cars run on the normal gas as well as on electricity. When either of the powers get over the other power takes over the wheels and thus save fuel to a certain extend. Any vehicle that combines two or more powers that can directly or indirectly provides power is called as a hybrid car or hybrid automobile. There are so many makers of hybrid cars especially the Japanese cars.

One more latest invention are the solar powered cars that run on the power of the sun. These cars are just on the beginning stages and if the technology strikes at the right moment this would be a revolutionary moment in the history of the automobiles.

Also there are some cars that are called as Hydrogen cars that run on hydrogen just like any other fuel. In this method the hydrogen is burnt in the engine and the when reacted with oxygen it becomes water and electricity. The electricity is used to power and electric traction motor. The result is plain water and no pollution or any other gases emitted. This is in the starting stage and if it becomes successful it would be a great invention in the automobile industry.
